The movement of parents concerned by their kids' smartphone use just gained an unlikely disciple: socialite and DJ Paris Hilton. Hilton isn't alone in thinking smartphones can cause damage to young kids. "The biggest effects of social media happened during puberty, especially early puberty," he says. No social media before age 16. "There's no clear evidence that giving children access to social media early is better able to prepare them for adulthood later on," Rausch says.

The fight to eradicate polio has been long and difficult. But polio continues to this day disabling or killing children in some harder to reach parts of the world. The good news is that we are now on the cusp of eradicating this terrible disease everywhere and forever. Having used this strategy to stop polio, people in developing nations are already looking to apply those same tools against other diseases, both familiar and emerging. Because the communities are poor, and because families can lose patience with repeated visits focused only on polio, the workers also bring nutritional supplements, health information and other resources.

Russia’s relentless onslaught has a key goal: If they take Lyptsi, then they can position artillery within range of Ukraine’s second city, Kharkiv, 20 minutes down the road. “They’re not sending just anyone into the assaults.”His stare lengthens when asked about what fortifications were in place before the surprise Russian attack. At one position closer to the Russian border, the 92nd Assault Brigade showed CNN a Russian artillery gun, captured in the first days of the war, from which they are now firing French mortar shells. The gun was partially hidden by a wire net, aimed at providing some protection from an attack drone. Attacks persisted in the distance however, keeping the city’s residents awake through violently loud nights, now amplified by the threat of Russian artillery edging closer.

Back in September, Scarlett Johansson, who played the hauntingly complex AI assistant in the 2013 Spike Jonze film “Her,” got a request from OpenAI’s CEO, Sam Altman. He wanted to hire Johansson to voice his company’s newest ChatGPT model, “Sky.” She said no. Johansson quickly lawyered up, saying Monday she was “shocked, angered and in disbelief” that Altman would use a voice “so eerily similar” to her own. OpenAI was forced to confront some of those concerns late last week, after two prominent employees left the company. “Being friends with AI will be so much easier than forging bonds with human beings,” wrote Wired editor Brian Barrett in a recent essay about the movie.

Neighborhood names are also shorthand for your rent or mortgage payments. In 2017, real-estate brokers in the historically Black New York neighborhood of Harlem sparked backlash when they tried to rebrand its south end as SoHa. At their best, new neighborhood names bring people together over a shared sense of pride in their little corner of the world. Along the way, these neighborhood names have veered into parody territory. I'm not saying that neighborhood names should be set in stone — in fact, I think it's natural for them to evolve alongside their populations.

The ex-husband of a former BP mergers and acquisitions manager was sentenced to two years in federal prison for insider trading that netted him $1.76 million after he eavesdropped on her work calls about the oil giant buying another company. The ex-husband, Tyler Loudon, also was sentenced to one year of supervised release after his prison term and fined $10,000 by U.S. District Court Judge Sim Lake in Houston on Monday. The prison sentence was at the bottom end of the 24-to-30-month range requested by federal prosecutors. His purchases started after he secretly listened to his wife's work calls about BP buying TravelCenters and later discussed the deal with her in "normal" married-couple kinds of conversations, according to court records. Loudon's wife, who was not accused of wrongdoing, reported his actions to her BP supervisor, but she ended up getting fired later, court records show.

The flower moon will begin to rise after sunset on Wednesday, reaching its highest point after midnight, per EarthSky. The flower moon played a minor role in a particularly dark period of US history. That's not a lot of wiggle room if the stock reacts negatively to earnings: if the stock undercuts $915 (and stays below it), the breakout would be nullified. In other words, if an upside gap is filled this time instead, the market could be telling us that something has changed. In other words, NVDA has had many years of success both as a company and as a stock. It would take a lot more than a reaction to a single earnings report to change that. BEFORE MAKING ANY FINANCIAL DECISIONS, YOU SHOULD STRONGLY CONSIDER SEEKING ADVICE FROM YOUR OWN FINANCIAL OR INVESTMENT ADVISOR.
